AIC Citizenship in the USA Package

Citizenship Do-it-Yourself Package
Guide Rating -
Pros  •  Everything you need to determine whether you are eligible for, and to apply for, U.S. citizenship. A comprehensive kit including instructions, forms, samples and an audio tape.

• Comes in a binder/folder so that ever-changing INS information can quickly and easily be updated by the publisher.

•  The kit may well save you time, money and frustration. Good for those with a straightforward case.

Cons  •  If you have complications or legal issues, this cannot serve as or substitute for legal assistance. In fact, applying for citizenship if you have an outstanding legal situation can serve as a red flag to deportation authorities, so know your status before you go the do-it-yourself route. Note also that you will first need to assess your eligibility for citizenship before you actually apply.

•  These packages are timely. Because of ever-changing laws, procedures and fees, it's a good idea to buy originals, not second hand copies, and buy them only when you are ready to file, otherwise some of the information may become obsolete.
The Bottom Line - A good way to save yourself some time, money and frustration if you need to assess your eligibility and then file for citizenship in the United States of America.

Guide Review
Review from Jennifer and Peter Wipf
Patriotism in the United States is seeing a new found popularity. Immigrant or temporary status can be ambiguous, and now that the U.S. allows dual citizenship, why not pledge allegiance to this great country? Many people feel this way, but find the application process and studying for and taking the exams to be extremely daunting. We don't blame them! Quite a few native-born Americans couldn't pass those exams. They're tough! This kit can take away some of the confusion and complexity you will face in trying to become a citizen of the U.S. Brought to you by the American Immigration Center, it provides the tools you need to assess your eligibility and prepare your application. It should prove very helpful to many who use it, providing they are eligible and have no outstanding legal issues.
