Please check in to see our daily and weekly scheduled chats. Some events may be waiting for reader response before they are scheduled. If you can't find what you need, or if you want to tell us what works for you, please contact your editors. We have guided chats (discussions, debates, study, support and clubs!) of all kinds! There's one for everyone. Click here for details! Join a club!#Rules Whenever possible, we will post a transcript of a chat session on this site. Check this page for details. On occasion, chats will be available in other languages, with an interpreter available so that everyone in the room can understand the conversation. Please e-mail us to voice your needs and for further details. Remember to sign up for Immigration Chat Reminders - we will e-mail you 24 hours --and then again one hour--before the group begins! Simply put the name of the chat discussion in the e-mail subject line. If you only want a reminder for one date, place the date next to the chat title in that subject line. You can unsubscribe at any time by sending us an e-mail. Immigration Issues Chat Room Rules 1) No offensive language of any kind. 2) No cybersex. You can do that in other rooms, but this is not the place for that. 3) No racial, ethnic or otherwise slanderous remarks of any kind will be tolerated. 4) When support groups are taking place, feel free to observe the conversation, but do not contribute unrelated, random or hostile comments. Please participate only if you are in need of help or providing help or support. We DO have forums for debates and you are welcome to voice more controversial opinions there. 5) If an offensive user is present in the room, everyone else should immediately highlight that person's name and block them from view. Please report any and all incidents to your editors immediately. If there is any persistent problem we will gladly make your rooms private. 6) The chat room is open 24/7. Scheduled events take up only 8-12 hours per week. When such events are in session, please respect the topic and stick to it. 7) No typing in all caps. It means you are yelling and it is considered rude. 8) Intelligent and even heated debates are welcome here, but only when that is the scheduled event and/or there is an open chat that has not yet gone in another direction. But above all, there are no hateful or personally insulting posts allowed here. If you want your opinion known, your best bet is to express it rationally and politely, so that we won't have to ban you and delete your comments from the chat transcript.
