Procedures for Submitting an Entry to the Green Card Lottery.

Below are instructions in the order provided by the Department of State. However, we sort, simplify and clarify these same details and more in our DV-2009 Green Card Lottery Help Center, linked to below.

REGULATIONS
The Department of State will only accept green card lottery entries electronically. And only during the registration period for each year.

In 2007, for DV-2009:
The DV-2009 Lottery begins at Noon EDT on October 3, 2007, and ends at Noon EST on December 2, 2007.

NOTE: The Department of State is now updating this year's instructions. But the following is a close representation to help you get started:

Submit Only Once
-All entries by an applicant will be disqualified if more than one entry for the applicant is received, regardless of who submitted the entry.
